An inspirational story about overcoming disability.

This book is written in two parts by a mother and daughter, detailing the daughter's life from birth. Victoria's birth is traumatic and she is soon discovered to have Cerebral Palsy. A determined and intelligent child, she does not let that stop her. This is a very moving and personal account of the challenges and preconceptions she faces growing up, mostly in Finland, but also in some part in the UK. It is a challenge to us all, as it is so easy to judge by appearances. This lady, with slurred speech and awkward gait, is now a Hospital Consultant in Accident and Emergency. I definitely recommend reading this book.
