October News

It's very autumnal now, just the weather for a hot filled Jacket Potato and a warm drink. In the café and bookshop we are getting ready for Christmas, read more below!

Christmas Lunches

Our very popular Christmas lunches are booking up fast. On Wednesday 17th December, there are now just a handful of spaces left. To reserve your table, email us or come into Cornerstone to collect a booking form and pay a £10 per person deposit.

In the Bookshop

Saturday 11th October is Bookshop Day, come in and support your local Christian bookshop. We have lots of new titles on the shelf, advent calendars, candles and cards, children's books and we sell National Book tokens which make a great present.

Another way to support us is to buy online from Bookshop.org. When you choose us as your bookshop, not only are you supporting us but independent bookshops across the country - click the link below.

Bear Grylls' book "The Greatest Story Ever Told" made the number one slot on the Sunday Times Bestseller list in July. If you've not picked up a copy yet, we have just restocked and they are now on offer at £12.99 (RRP £14.99)

Give the Gift of Books

Just a reminder that we sell and accept National Book Tokens. They make a great gift and you can buy them for any amount. They can be redeemed at bookshops across the country.

Shop Online and Support Local

If you are looking for a book to read on your holidays, we have a large selection of great fiction titles on the shelf. Don't forget, for a wider selection, check out bookshop.org.

30 Years of Cornerstone

image.png

It's been over thirty years now since John Barlow was given the keys to Cornerstone. In November this year, 30 years after we opened, we will be holding a service to celebrate and thank God for his provision to us all these years. Everyone is welcome. If you have any memories or anecdotes from the 30 years, we would love to hear from you.

September Hot Meal Special

This will be served on Wednesday 24 September at 12.30pm – please book in advance so that we know how many to cater for.

Prayer Breakfasts

Our monthly prayer breakfasts continue on the second Saturday of each month. The next one will be on Saturday 12 October 8.30am and I look forward to you joining us for croissants, tea, coffee, prayer and

Customers continue to meet here for games – Rummikub on Tuesdays
