December News
Christmas is nearly here and stock of some items is starting to run low in the shop. In the café we have a delicious specials menu but do take a note of our Christmas meal days, when we will be shut to all except those booked in. If you can't get in, don't forget you can shop for books online with us on Bookshop.org ⬇️
Christmas in the Café
From 1st December we will have our popular Christmas specials menu running, Including Hot Mulled Punch.
Take a note of our booked Christmas lunch days, as we will only be serving drinks and cakes in the morning and we will shut at 11am to prepare for lunch: 5th, 9th, 11th, 15th & 17th December
It's a good idea to book a table if you are coming at lunchtime in December, call or email us to do that.
Christmas in the Bookshop

The bookshop is still well stocked with cards, books and gifts. Our popular Hannah Dunnett range has sold well and there are only a few of the large calendars left. We are expecting a delivery of more of the beautiful china mugs any day. Olivia Warburton's book, Dreaming of a Green Christmas, would make a lovely gift and it's on offer at £5.99 We will be making up some hampers to buy soon, but do ask us if you are interested in buying one, we can make them up to order.
Make & Bake for the Under 5's
There are just three more sessions until Christmas. The last session this year will be on Tuesday 16th December. It's still just £2, great value for the crafts and tasty treat they make each week. 9:30-11:00 on a Tuesday.
30th Anniversary Celebration
We had a lovely afternoon celebrating our 30th Anniversary on 16th November. There was an opportunity in the service to share testimony and it was lovely to hear how important Cornerstone has been to people in the last 30 years. Outside Catering
A reminder that we are able to supply outside catering for your events, up to 100 people, at a very competitive price – please contact us for more information.
Games Afternoons
Customers continue to meet here for games – Rummikub on Tuesdays
and Scrabble on Thursdays, both from 2pm – both lovely relaxed players who’d be happy for more people to join them.
