September 2026 News
September is a busy month with the Christmas menu coming out and new stock arriving. We welcome orders for bible studies, lots of people will be thinking about their advent study course.
Mindfulness for Christians
Another local author will be joining us this month. David Harper wrote the A-Z of Christian Mindfulness and he'll be in the café telling us about his book on Saturday 26th September at 3:30pm, and helping us to be more mindful. The event is free but it will help us to know how many are coming if you book below.
Christmas is coming...
This month our Christmas menu is out, come into Cornerstone to collect a booking form.
Christmas cards and gifts will also be arriving, so look out for new displays and fresh new stock in the shop.
Language Café
Are you interested in helping those in the community who have English as a second language? Sarah is looking into starting a "Chatting Café", with conversation partners. Before we can consider the details, we are looking to see if we have any volunteers interested. It is likely to be a morning or afternoon on a week day in term time. Please get in touch if you think you would be interested.
Hannah Dunnett
There are new gifts in the popular Hannah Dunnett range, including Tote Bags and 2027 Calendars. The calendars sell out every year, so don't miss out.
Make & Bake
for the under 5s will not be running in September. We are planning for it to restart in October. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for more details.
Catering
If you are catering for an event, business lunch, away day or funeral, our buffet selection comes highly recommended. We provided homemade cakes & quiches, fresh filled sandwiches, all your favourite fillings, and we cater to gluten free or dairy free diets. It's great value and we can often deliver.
